If made after 1891, it is likely ‘England’ would have been added to ‘Sheffield’ for export to the USA, but this change did not appear in marks 100% of the time.
This old knife has seen work, but its hand forged blade is still very usable. The handle looks to be ebonized oak and has three steel pins and one brass screwed on rivet.
