Vintage (1930s to 60s) 11″ carbon steel lobster splitter heavy chef knife. Heavier than a standard chef knife by far, it was designed for hacking and tough work.
This knife has seen a lot of use, it has been sharpened in some but the blade still has lots of life left. Blade has a decent convex edge not from us but its servicable, there is a fresh microbevel, it could be thinned more behind the edge to give it a bit more finesse if desired, otherwise this thicker convex edge will do fine.
